What is an
Agri Open House?
Picture a busy yard full of bins, a shop, and a row of shiny, red Case IH farm equipment. There are tents and tractors and the smell of meat on a barbeque. People, young and old, are everywhere... visiting, laughing and telling stories.
There are tents with TV screens and colourful displays about modern agriculture. Inside the shop, you can see more people, these ones listening intently to a presenter. Someone calls you to climb up into one of those tractors - or is it a combine? - to check out the view and explore the technology inside.
And then imagine, sitting in the warm sun, devouring a homemade bun or a slice of fresh apple pie.
What better way to learn about modern agriculture in Saskatchewan?
We hope you can join us.
The event will include:

a full complement of seeding and harvest equipment - Case IH tractors and combines, a Bourgault air drill, and a bean planter - for curious guests to sit in the seat and learn about today's agricultural technology,

industry tents where visitors can explore individual chapters of the field to fork story,

a food tent and dining area,

a canola seed field tour and demonstrations of both pivot and sub-surface drip irrigation,

and presentations by industry and government to share messaging about agriculture today.

Water is one of the most critical components of a sustainable and productive agriculture industry; it is the one constant thing on every farmer's mind. But how to manage it efficiently and responsibly is often not well understood.
Together with our presenters and booth hosts, we will explore sustainable water management practices, including current irrigation and drainage solutions, and the regulation, tools and technology that enable us to do those things well.
